Zen Shiatsu for Table
January 19th & 20th
Live in person training at the Tucson Massage CE Institute - 620 N 7th Ave Tucson, AZ 85705
Days: Friday, January 19th & Saturday, January 20th
Time: Both days go from 9am to 5pm (with lunch from 12:30-1:30)
14 CEUs approved through NCBT Massage Board
In this class, participants will learn to adapt Zen Shiatsu techniques to a recipient on a massage table. Supine and Prone positions will be utilized to employ torso, shoulder and hip mobilizations, meridian compressions and postural assessment. Participants will engage with the vital Zen Shiatsu concepts such as Kyo and Jitsu so that they can apply the quality of touch appropriate to the condition of the body. This class is open to all people with previous bodywork experience. No prior knowledge of Shiatsu is needed.
Participants should wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes that do not restrict mobility. They should also bring 2 clean flat sheets and a pillowcase for each day.
